This article explains how Seller profile users on TalkShopLive can connect and simulcast their shows to YouTube. It details prerequisites, step-by-step instructions for connecting accounts, adding YouTube as a destination, and provides troubleshooting tips for common issues during setup and broadcast.
Important Note: This feature is only for users with a Seller profile i.e. users that have completed Seller onboarding.
Before You Start / Prerequisites
- On Google / YouTube: Make sure you can sign into the correct Google/YouTube account.
- On YouTube: Ensure the channel you will use for your shoppable simulcast is verified. You need to ensure you have turned on all the advanced features. Not sure where this lives? To access advanced features, navigate to Settings, then Channel, then Feature Eligibility, and finally, Advanced Features. Complete the verification process. The final outcome should look like the image below (this is the YouTube UI as of October 2025; it is subject to change according to YouTube’s policies):
- On TalkShopLive: You have switched from your Shopper profile to your Seller profile. You should be in the Connected Accounts section of your Seller profile. This is the section where you will begin the connection to YouTube.
Step 1: Connect YouTube
- Go to Seller Profile → Connected Accounts.
- Click Connect YouTube.
- Sign in with Google and approve the requested permissions so TalkShopLive can publish to your channel.
- You’ll return to TalkShopLive and see YouTube: Connected.
Note: If you deny permissions, the connection won’t complete. You can restart the flow from Connected Accounts.
Step 2 — Add YouTube as a destination (during show setup)
- Create a new show (or open a scheduled one that hasn’t gone live).
- In Destinations, select YouTube understand destinations and confirm the connected channel. There will be additional YouTube details you will need to fill in before the show reflects on your YouTube channel under scheduled live broadcasts.
- Save your show details and Go Live when ready.
Important: You cannot add or change destinations on a show that has already gone live.
Success check
- Connected Accounts shows your YouTube channel.
- Your TSL show displays YouTube under Destinations before you go live.
Troubleshooting
- Can’t see YouTube in Destinations? The show may already be live or have already gone live (i.e., it is now a VOD on TalkShopLive). We recommend to you create an entirely new show to go live via YouTube. TalkShopLive does not place restrictions on the number of shows you can create with the shoppable simulcasting feature.
- OAuth error or wrong channel? Log out of Google, switch to the correct account, and reconnect from Connected Accounts. As a last resort, remove the connected account. Please note that doing so will sever the connection between TalkShopLive and any previous YouTube Live sessions, or any upcoming ones.
