Overview
Beginning in version 2.3.0 of TalkShopLive Studio: Streaming iOS app, we have revised and expanded the range of supported external microphones.
There are now two families of external microphones we broadly support:
- Lavalier microphones, also known as "lapel mics"
- Popular manufacturers of these microphones in the mobile streaming world are DJI, RODE, and Comica.
- Bluetooth microphones
- AirPods are amongst the most popular Bluetooth headsets in the US market.
To find the settings on the app, on a live show (both test and non-test), in the top-right corner, if you click on the icon next to share, you will be able to access audio settings.
By default, lavalier mics will be selected. If you have no microphone selected, audio input and output will be through your mobile device. Refer to the screenshot below:
Important Notes:
- Select the "Best for Lavalier Mics" option if you have a lavalier microphone and you're doing a single-seller/solo Seller show. For lavalier microphones, you will not be able to hear the audio of your live media during the live stream. This is a limitation associated with this option.
- If you're collaborating with other Sellers or you will be inviting guests on your show, what we call multi-participant shows, we recommend you use a Bluetooth microphone and select the "Best for Bluetooth Mics" option.
